Ok lets see I can remember what I have been up to since my last post.

On Friday I was still in Nara and headed out to explore the area around Nara Park.
First I went to Kofuku-Ji a Buddhist temple. Half of the temple is currently under repair and is under scaffolding so not that much to see. Still interesting though.
While I was there I had a group of Elementary school kids come up to me and practice English with me. It was quite a funny experience.

I then dodged the many dear trying to gt fed and headed to the Todai-Ji ( Great Eastern Temple) which was allot more Impressive!!
The largest wooden building in the world and one huge Buddha inside, as with lot of the other places I have visted there were hundreds of school kids visiting as well.

Next I decided to get use of my Japan Rail Pass and head out of Nara for the rest of the day and get out into the country to visit Ueno Castle.

The walls were some of the highest walls in Japan being 30 meters at the highest point. The keep it self was reconstructed in the 1930s but unlike most of the other keeps reconstructed in Japan it was fully constructed out of wood using old style construction techniques.
I found this guy waiting to ponce on his target.

Yesterday I left Nara and took the train to Osaka. By the way the Guest house I stayed at in Nara was over 100 years old. Here is some photos of it.

By the time I got to Osaka and checked into my hotel I didn't have much time left in the day so I went to The Osaka Aquarium which was pretty good.

Yes those are Whale Sharks!!
Ok well that enough for today. Catch you guys tomorrow night!
